I’m Scott Davis, Redding, CA native and software designer. Our thirteen-year-old son, Ezekiel "Bubby" Davis, is autistic and non-verbal, and for years, our family has navigated the daily challenges of raising a special needs child, constantly searching for ways to help him express his thoughts, feelings, and choices.
We tried the communication apps available on the market, but we continually ran into the same three frustrating barriers:

IconSpeak is my way of using my talents for design, and our lived experience to give back. It is a modern, clean, and accessible speech app designed to remove the frustration from augmentative communication. We built it to ease the challenges we’ve lived through, and to empower individuals everywhere to connect with the world around them—simply, and affordably.
